"I would judge the journey 1000% successful... The part of the hike
into the Indian village and the ride along the river into Banos was
great."
Fred G. (multiple Ibike program participant)
"Meeting people in the schools as well as the community were one of the
highlights of the trip. The cross-cultural / people-to-people
experiences were fabulous. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to go
on this trip, but it was more difficult than I had ever imagined."
Anne S.
"It was a terrific tour, if a bit wild... I had been to Ecuador before
and loved it, so a bike tour seemed the best way to see more of it. You
get to some really remote locations and see things you would not see if
you went the normal tourist route. It's physically a bit challenging, but
well worth it."
Tim L. (multiple Ibike program participant)
"David was critical in the success and diversity of experiences on the
trip."
Jonathan A.
"The best part of the program was the stay at the farm, great food,
good contact with locals, interesting exposure to traditional culture
(herbal medicines) and beautiful sight."
John F. (multiple Ibike program participant)
"Super-challenging biking combined with rich cultural immersion, offers
once-in-a-lifetime, original experiences, not available through any other
tourism program I have ever read about or conceived of. ... The strong
emphasis on environmental sustainability set a good example for
responsible tourism for ourselves in the future and for others with whom
we interacted."
Kathleen W.
"You provided a wonderful trip... Best of luck on your future trips."
Jim D.
"The cycling was great. The routes were great."
Karl B.
"The best part of the experience was the group, the program, the riding
and everything: We had a rich and diverse experience. The interaction with local
people when we stayed at Machachi, Salasaca and the Amazon were extremely interesting.
The videos I made with pictures of the biking trip speak volumes about how interesting
it was. The link is:

Eli B. (multiple Ibike program participant)
"Very
diverse mix of experiences. They’re really low-key and focused on
the country’s people. I learned a great deal from the meetings we
had with community members."
Il K. (multiple Ibike program participant)
"As for us here at Bina Hill and Surama we find it
really useful. Your visit is the first of it kind where a group of
bikers came through our community as a tour for you and
business
for us. This is definitely another package for us if you
continue. We do not only see this as an economic
opportunity but also an educational, social and cultural experience."
Feedback from Amerindian Community
"I had a great time! The best part was our stay in Fairview
[Amerindian Community]."
Angela N.
"Hope made the visit to Wakapoa a worthwhile
experience. The visit to Pam's house and the cassava bread lessons
were a real winner. This will not be my last Ibike trip."
Ron H. (multiple Ibike program participant)
"My community really enjoyed the discussion session. They
felt as if they mattered enough to get to know. Rushel and her
family were absolutely thrilled with the experience of making
cassava bread with the group. The community is very keen on
the prospects of future Ibike visitors. In fact one gentleman has
offered to lead a basket making class if any participants are
interested."

- Ride from Butchart's Garden to Victoria on the Lockside Trail.
- Ride up and down Mt. Constitution and the view from the top.

- City of Victoria.
- Architecture of the buildings in Port Townsend.
- Island of Mayne.
- Tillicum Village

Helen S. (multiple Ibike program participant)
"Our trip was excellent.....Our favorite places
were Deception Pass and San Juan Island. It was a crisp sparking day at
the pass and that was beautiful....Thanks again for
setting us up for such a great tour."
Nan L.
"I like the small group for support and safety, and I love the idea of
cultural tours."
Krin C.
"I enjoyed the trip as it was and I would not change anything
other than possibly if you made something so that the sky having
less clouds so that we can take better pictures... But if you are
not willing to spend energy in having the sun shine, it is OK...
Pictures of cloudy days are also appealing...
"I thanks you very much for the very special experience. The Ferries,
paddling and Tillicum Village enriched our experience and so did being in
Seattle during the Japanese festivities.
"I want to thank you once more for the very special experience of
"Rolling the Islands of the Salish Sea". It was great while doing it and I
have been able to extend and expand the experience by watching the videos
and reading and learning about the First Nations while back home.
I'm looking forward to joining you in other trips."
Elias B.
"Excellent cultural and cycling
experience... Good exposure to Korean culture, food, countryside and
villages. I especially enjoyed the marketplaces."
Tom B.
"It was ideal for me as a first time
tour biker. I did learn a lot about Korean culture which I did not
know before: I enjoyed eating Korean food at restaurants. I found
the temple stay interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed the sashimi we had one
evening."
Steve T.
"Wow! I can't for the life of me figure out why there are not more
bicycle tourists in Korea and your trips aren't sold-out a year in
advance. Just about everything about the experience was far beyond
my expectations and wonderful; people, scenery, roads, food, accommodations,
you name it. I can't wait to go back and see more."
Pat D.
"Korea is a superb place to ride. I give it high marks in all the
important categories: terrain, scenery, weather, road quality,
traffic, food, accommodation, and friendly folks. The arrangements
and route planning of Ibike make for a great ride."
Mike B. (multiple Ibike program participant)
"I like the bike touring a lot! In addition, the museums and
temples are great way to see more of the country."
Gregg L. (multiple Ibike program participant, including two tours in
Korea)
"I enjoyed it a lot; went places, took routes and did things I
wouldn't have done even if I had time while living in Korea."
Hal C. (expatriate resident of Korea for six years, who went back to
do the bike tour)
"The program had just the right mix
of country/cities, hills/flats, free time/cultural activities...
The bicycling had a good variety - from flower lined bike paths to
city streets. Drivers are courteous. Roads are smooth. And the
weather was perfect... There were many opportunities to interact
with the locals throughout the trip... The Buddhist temple stay was
amazing. It was an honor to be allowed to participate in their daily
and nightly activities. I appreciated that the meals,
accommodations and activities were Korean and not westernized.
David was wonderful. He handled our diverse group with grace and
diplomacy... As a single woman I never felt unsafe anywhere or at
any time. The Korean people are friendly, gentle, accommodating...
It was a most excellent once in a life time adventure."
Betsy T.
"What an amazing trip!
... Thank you all for making this trip a grand adventure!"
Karen W.
"10 out of 10. I was interested in
seeing a new country and learn about its people, history, culture,
economy. Your program fulfilled all my expectations"
Hanruedi S.
"Not seeing another Western tourist for ten days is probably the
big measure of this trips. It was real fascinating, fun, educational
and an eye-opener mingle with the culture in so many different and genuine
situations. Thank you for the opportunity."
Chris D.
"Great way to travel; I like the places Ibike goes, and also the
approach and philosophy, as opposed to a cushy trip where one would
be so separated from "real life."
Marcy S.
"I really enjoyed the trip... I had a LOT of fun... I
really liked the spontaneity of the trip... The floating market was
a great experience. My favorite day was the one that ended in the
minority area, when we [saw] the ethnic music and dance... Perhaps
one of the best culinary experiences was having the fruit with the
salt/chili dip by the side of the road."
David S.
"The tour was exactly what I expected and I had a wonderful time.
The itinerary was well balanced and well crafted. Thanks for
being a great guide and having the patience of a saint."
Caroline B.
"The trip was a blast."
Doug S. (multiple Ibike program participant)
"Your program of Vietnam was really wonderful. The best
part of the program was riding along the shore, in the mountains
and past the rice fields."
Hansruedi S. (multiple Ibike program participant)
